Gribov ambiguity in gauge theories

Gribov ambiguity in gauge field theories is discussed and it is shown that such an ambiguity exists even for Abelian theories in covariant gauge at finite temperature. Both geometric and algebraic proofs are presented. In view of the importance of non-perturbative methods, some special gauges are given in which such ambiguities do not exist or are not relevant. The significance of these in the study of confinement in QCD is pointed out.     

On multiplication groups of relatively free quasigroups isotopic to Abelian groups

If Q is a quasigroup that is free in the class of all quasigroups which are isotopic to an Abelian group, then its multiplication group Mlt Q is a Frobenius group. Conversely, if Mlt Q is a Frobenius group, Q a quasigroup, then Q has to be isotopic to an Abelian group. If Q is, in addition, finite, then it must be a central quasigroup (a T-quasigroup).This work was supported by institutional grant MSM 113200007, and by Grant Agency of Czech Republic, grant number 201/99/0263.     

一类特殊的无限非正则p-群

利用有限正则p-群和局部幂零群的理论,得到:如果G是可解的非正则p-群,且G的每一个无限真子群是正则的,那么群G是秩为p-1的可除阿贝尔群被循环群的扩张.     

G-spaces and Fixed Point Sets

For a compact connected group G, in a compact free G-space M every closed subset is the fixed point set of an autohomeomorphism if the weight of M is not bigger than that of G. In a compact group with nonsingleton components, every closed subset is the fixed point set of an autohomeomorphism if and only if the weight of the whole group is not bigger than that of the component of the identity.

用群的共轭类个数刻画了交换群,同时用一个很简洁的方法重新证明了Frobenius G提出的一个著名问题:对于一个固定的数自然数n,共轭类数为n的有限群,在同构的意义下是有限的.     

A note on CIP varieties

It is proved that every variety satisfying the Congruence Intersection Property (CIP) is Abelian. In addition, a CM Abelian variety has the CIP if and only if it has a constant term operation. Finally, a CM variety is Abelian if and only if it has the weak CIP. Received October 8, 1998; accepted in final form January 5, 1999.     

On harmonic analysis of causal operators

We follow the group representation theory approach to define causal operators on Banach modules and present some of their spectral properties.     

A class of congruences in partial Abelian semigroups

In this paper, by basing on the special morphism of Habil, we introduce and study a class of congruences in partial Abelian semigroups and obtain some interesting properties. Presented at the International Colloquium “Integrable Systems and Quantum Symmetries”, Prague, 16–18 June 2005.
